Future of Presence 2008
Presence is the coming together of all the different digital channels we communicate with in our everyday lives. Protocols and standards like SIP, ENUM, SIMPLE and Jabber are enabling the convergence of mobile and fixed networks, IM, voice and video communications. The next generation of consumer devices will put everything into the hands of the end-user.
The Future of Presence was held on October 10th 2008, in Aula Koninklijke Bibliotheek, The Hague, The Netherlands.
For the benefit of the end-users, it is important for the market forces to position themselves while understanding the technology behind the business cases. The combined P2P, SIP and IMS tutorials held by renowned specialists in these fields, the showcases and demonstrations will help analyzing the pros and cons of rolling out services based on these technologies and help in the decision making of the service providers and customers moving in this new direction. The Future of Presence conference is organized by ISOC.nl SIP special Interest Group and provides insight about where and how this convergence will take place. The conference will take place in the aula of the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (Prins Willem-Alexanderhof 5) in The Hague, the Netherlands.
