CAIW has chosen AG Projects

CAIW has chosen AG Projects to build their VoIP Platform based on SIP technology.

HAARLEM, THE NETHERLANDS – JANUARY 31, 2006

CAIW (http://www.caiw.nl), an innovative Dutch cable company, awarded AG Projects (http://ag-projects.com) 'Multimedia Service Platform' to build their VoIP service based on SIP and ENUM.

This platform is a complete turnkey solution for carriers, telecom and Internet service providers offering VoIP services to the residential market. Using the SIP and ENUM protocols and based on Open Source components, it offers a carrier-class VoIP system.

Sikko de Graaf, Director of CAIW diensten bv:

“We selected AG Projects 'Multimedia Service Platform' to provide VoIP services to our customers,”

“With this solution we are pleased to be at the forefront of the VoIP revolution."

Adrian Georgescu, Founder and CEO of AG Projects:

"CAIW's move to open standards like SIP and ENUM is an important step for enabling voice, video and interactive messaging via the Internet for its cable subscribers. AG Projects provides the turnkey solution for the SIP residential services and the interconnect with the Dutch SIP-Exchange, which will realize a total PSTN by-pass for SIP sessions between cable operators. By enabling CAIW to use the latest IETF-based standards we witness a major milestone in the migration from Dutch PSTN to Internet real-time communications"

AG Projects 'Multimedia Service Platform' provides a carrier class scalable VoIP platform and includes the most tested individual components of the SIP vendor market. The components are OpenSER, distributed MediaProxy for NAT traversal, CDRTool for accounting, Managed DNS for ENUM routing and NGN-Pro, a SOAP/XML integrated provisioning/accounting engine for all components. OpenSER, a project emerged from FOKUS institute in Berlin, is the most mature SIP Proxy/Registrar solution with more than 4 years of real-life deployments.

AG Projects components complete the signaling core with the necessary front-ends for distributed provisioning, interfaces for accounting, ENUM number translation and NAT traversal.

AG Projects strategy is to help carriers and ITSP's migrate to NGN by providing environments with the same performance and reliability as classic TDM solutions. AG Projects platform addresses the high-availability and redundancy requirements of our target customers. SIP protocol and its extensions have become the natural successor for PSTN signaling protocols.
